Members of our firm have represented the Grain & Feed Association of Illinois for over 35 years. We currently serve as general counsel for the Grain & Feed Association of Illinois. Jim Grebe is a member of the Agricultural Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association and has served as its Chairman on two separate occasions (2004-05 and 2012-13). He has also published a number of articles addressing agricultural law issues and presented numerous times at seminars on agricultural law topics. His experience in drafting and dealing with grain contracts in the State of Illinois is extensive and has no equal.
Our Agricultural Law Practice
We have drafted contracts, including grain contracts and crop input contracts, for dozens of agricultural business entities. We have successfully addressed licensing issues with the Illinois Department of Agriculture on numerous occasions, over the years, for many of our clients.
We also have experience in environmental and employment law matters as they relate to agriculture. Our firm handles a significant amount of workers compensation defense and employee/employer matters on a regular basis.
We draft and advise our clients on farm leases, including hybrid cash farm leases. We also assist our clients in various other real estate matters, including purchases and sales of real estate, commercial leases, partition lawsuits, as well as dealings with utility companies and other entities regarding easements, pipelines and other commercial purposes involving farm land.
